Alexandria, VA (July, 2017) –The Vision Council’s Eyecessorize fashion eyewear campaign will release its fall/winter 2017 trend kit to more than 400 fashion, health and lifestyle editors nationwide, highlighting the season’s top four trends.
Curated by The Vision Council, the trends are as follows:
- Athleisure Infusion, featuring sporty meets stylish frames
- Elemental Panache, featuring frames inspired by nature
- Fashion Unscripted, featuring highly editorial eyewear
- Sleek + Swanky, featuring understatedly chic frames.
The digital kit will include an online booklet prominently featuring member product from members of The Vision Council, including men’s and women’s optical and sunwear frame images, alongside trend descriptions. The kit also offers additional eye health information in regards to UV eye protection, digital eye strain and annual eye exams. Provided in a digital format, the kit gives editors quick and easy access to the materials, offering them the capability to download hi-res versions of the featured frames and view slideshows showcasing the frames in each trend.
Overall, the kit is meant to generate consumer media awareness of the season’s eyewear trends, general eye health and product from members of The Vision Council, ultimately leading to coverage in fashion, health and lifestyle media outlets. The kit will be sent to media contacts from top-tier outlets like InStyle, GQ, Real Simple, Marie Claire, People StyleWatch, Washington Post, Yahoo! Health, Men’s Fitness, Women’s Day and Refinery29.com, among many others. Placements garnered as a result of the trend kit will add to Eyecessorize’s overall media impressions number, which is used to gauge the campaign’s yearly success. Furthermore, the kit will enhance the sole mission of the campaign: to promote eyewear and sunwear as must-have fashion and lifestyle accessories to the media.
Eyewear is not only considered a fashion accessory, but also a health necessity. The Vision Council encourages eyecare providers to talk with their patients about the frame and lens options available that best fit their vision and lifestyle needs.
The Vision Council is working to educate eyecare providers on the latest in fashion, clinical applications and business solutions with more than 320 hours of education at International Vision Expo West, to take place Sept. 13–16. Attendees will have access to over 5,000 brands and the designers who drive the trends, as well as insight and ideas on how to source suppliers that meet your unique needs, set a pricing and promotion strategy, and build the inventory and experience that will keep your customers coming back for more.
