100% Optical, which will take place at London’s Excel 7-9th February 2015, is promising an exceptional showcase in its Eyewear Halls with over 3,000 frames on display anticipated. This represents the biggest collection of eyewear ever seen in the UK and will eclipse the 2,000 frames on display at the inaugural 2014 100% Optical event, the success of which underlined the need for a major new optical industry event in London.
Over 100 eyewear exhibitors are already signed up for the 2015 event, including Mondottica, MYKITA, TD Tom Davies, götti SWITZERLAND, LINDBERG, William Morris London, Zuma Eyewear, Prodesign, SALT., Claire Goldsmith Eyewear & Oliver Goldsmith Sunglasses, Ørgreen Optics and CAZAL.
To add to buyer appeal (In 2014 buyers came from Harvey Nichols, ASOS, David Clulow, Leightons Opticians, Specsavers and Vision Express to name but a few), a significant number of brands will be premiering in the UK at the show for the first time.
For 2015 the 100% Optical event will be 30% bigger than 2014 and a number of new and improved features are being introduced to make it even more attractive to members of the optical industry within the UK, across Europe and worldwide. Specifically for eyewear there will be an Innovation Arcade and Fashion Hub.
Innovation Arcade The Innovation Arcade is an area of the event specifically dedicated to supporting independent and emerging designers. It provides visitors with the perfect opportunity and environment to discover new niche brands from around the world. This area will especially appeal to independent opticians looking to offer their customers something new and unique.
Fashion Hub Daily catwalk shows are highly engaging and provide visitors and press with the opportunity to experience previews of new eyewear collections, while curated window displays demonstrate products showcased and styled in exciting and innovative ways.
According to Nathan Garnett, Event Director for 100% Optical, “Eyewear is a major emphasis for the 2015 event. We have taken on board all the positive feedback from buyers and exhibitors in 2014 and come up with a strengthened eyewear proposition. 100% Optical will quite simply provide the ultimate stage for all the very best in eyewear design and technical innovation from around the world. It’s an unmissable proposition for the eyewear trade.”
The 2015 100% Optical event will be backed by a comprehensive marketing and PR campaign targeting over 1.5 million eye industry professionals worldwide including buyers, designers, dispensers, optometrists, opticians, orthoptists, practitioners, laboratory managers, technicians, consultants ophthalmologists, surgeons and students.
