I was a Jimi Hendrix fan, unfortunately and to the best of my knowledge, I never saw him in concert. For those of us who grew up in the 1960’s he was a huge name and I can’t even believe that he died in 1970 of asphyxiation in his own vomit, due to an overdose of sleeping pills. In todays time, we would of had a yearlong trial with the doctor, his girlfriend of the time.
I wish I could tell you what eyewear he is wearing.. in reality there are very few pictures are of him wearing sunglasses or eyeglasses. He was young, only 28 years old when he died and his career had only spanned a few years.. less than 8 years, and after his discharge from the army.
My best memories are of Purple Haze blasting from my brothers car and room, and my parents.. we have all heard this story.. turn it down… Fortunately my mother loved music.. so she could understand the blasting.. It seems to me, the first people I knew that played Air guitar were doing it to Jimi Hendrix.
