Legre Eyewear- European Styling For The American Market

I came across Lenny Rabich from Legre Eyewear through Facebook and finally got to meet him and his partner Gregory Meyliker at Vision Expo. It is always so great to put a face with the Facebook! And they are so nice! Legre Eyewear was started by them back in 2002, both were opticians that decided to bring in their own line of plastic frames. I admire anyone who starts their own business and after looking at the line I know they will do well with it.

They are right on with the trends, a big selection of Retro Vintage and one of the few eyewear companies that has wood inspired detailing on the temples. (Big Trend) as well as Animal motifs in the inside of the temples. (Another trend). The Cat- Eye shapes are perfect, not too cat-eyed where only a few can were, a little rounder for most face shapes. The Round (another big trend) is thinner with that keyhole bridge that works great.

Even though it’s not all about me, but as the aging baby boomer, I always look to see if I can get a progressive lens in (yes, they are deep enough).

Lest you think they only have Retro, loved the temple inscription on the more feminine styles

Legre with Animal Motif comes in various shapes and colors
Legre in Large Round with Keyhole Bridge, it works
Legre Metals, Classic Front With Color and Detail

All in all it is great well rounded quality collection. Something for the ‘older’ clientele and hip enough for the tweeners on up. Color and tortoise, trendy but not too too. I loved the metals with the temple decor, very European.

You can see more on their website at Legre.com or Follow them on Twitter (Twitter) and Like them on Facebook. I think you will not only like them and their product.
