New York, NY (August 2017) – To stay relevant in the world of fashion, it is paramount to continuously search for new trends, ideas and inspiration. For Brendel designers, the runway is the key resource that fosters the inspiration needed to implement new trends. The theme of sheer layering is what is seen and worn. It’s a technique best executed when garments, materials, and colors are layered which exposes interesting details unexpected layers. Though perhaps the biggest challenge is insuring the trends we find on the runway translate to the field of eyewear.
The 2017 Brendel Fall Collection tells an extremely cohesive story. Designed in Germany, these Fall styles reside in the Posh collection and maintain many of the design traits which make them distinctly Brendel. Furthermore, the collection as always features extremely feminine shapes and luxurious details. Using a sophisticated neutral palette derived from the runway, our main objective was to accomplish the trend of sheer layering. So how have we done it? We’ve executed this trend in a variety of ways: Employing a variety of cutting effects to expose unexpected colors, creating custom acetate combinations unique only to this collection, and by layering metal and acetate to further accentuate the elevated look this collection deserves. To further the design cohesiveness, we’ve added unique wrapped metal end pieces to the styles in this collection. You’ll notice that this metal detail extends from the frame front to the temple often transitioning into a luxurious integrated spring hinge. Elevating the Brendel Fall Collection has certainly heightened our own excitement level, and we think it will have the same effect on you.
