BluTech Names Two New Executives


BluTech® LLC, the world’s leading provider of ophthalmic blue light solutions, today named two individuals to its executive ranks. The move, effective immediately, is part of a long-term strategy to employ the industry’s best to continue BluTech’s dominance of the blue light category.

David S. Provow will assume the duties of Chief Operating Officer, effective. Provow was previously Vice President, Operations & New Product Development. He will have responsibility for all operations and product development from our Alpharetta, Georgia location.

“David’s accomplishments at BluTech and over 40 years of experience in the optical industry make him well-suited to overseeing these functional areas,” said Greg Naes, President of BluTech. “He is a seasoned professional and an invaluable asset to our capabilities in the Ophthalmic market.” Prior to joining BluTech, LLC, Provow has served in senior-level capacities for industry leaders such as Luxottica, Carl Zeiss Vision, SOLA Optical, as well as had involvement with Start-up Operations such as Pixel Optics and QSpex Optical. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Renato Cappuccitti will assume the role of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Renato will be responsible for strengthening the partnerships of our growing dealer base, develop unified and consistent messaging to enhance the ECP and consumer experience and expand distribution of BluTech products globally.

“The demands from consumers and ECP’s with regards to blue light protection continues to increase daily”, says Naes. “Renato’s knowledge and expertise of the optical industry and in-depth retail experience will help support our customers with the information and tools needed to effectively meet those demands”.

Cappuccitti brings over 30 years of industry experience in sales, marketing, and business development. Most recently, he was a member of the leadership team with Costa Del Mar sunglasses, one of the fastest growing performance sunglass brands, where he led the sales team and was responsible for strategic partnerships in the optical channel.

Cappuccitti also serves as the vice chair of the Sunglass and Readers Division for the Vision Council. “I’m thrilled to be part of a team dedicated to improving peoples live through vision. BluTech is truly a leader in the field of blue light protection, one of the most exciting areas the industry has seen in many years,” says Cappuccitti.
