Best Image Optical is currently seeking a dynamic, Independent Sales Professional to help us develop our current account base, as well as dramatically contribute to the growth of that base in select territories. This person should have an up to date book of business and current account list. As a part of our growing eyewear brands, this position represents highly desired collections focused on the three O’s.

Requirements: The Independent Outside Sales Representative is responsible to build relationships with boutique and optical retailers with demonstrated experience in growing and closing sales. This position requires prospecting and developing new accounts, with a focus on building long term customer relationships and increasing sales revenue. This position requires proven territory management skills, reliable transportation, an enthusiasm for extensive travel by car, and the ability to carry and lift multiple sample bags.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Extensive cold calling and in person visits for the purpose of developing a buying relationship.
  • Prospecting and developing new and existing accounts and growing strategic relationships.
  • Tasked with increasing revenue within the assigned territory, by initiating regular, in person contact with existing and potential clients, and introducing these clients to Best Image Optical’s 3 collections.
  • Travel by vehicle to existing and potential client sites throughout entire sales territory.
  • Enthusiastically present and promote Best Image Optical frame lines to existing and potential clients in order to increase sales in your territory.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong relationship building and business development skills.
  • Skilled in time, territory, and call cycle management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service and listening skills.
  • High energy, stamina, and resourcefulness, with the ability to be on the road 5 days or more per week.
  • Driven to accomplish personal goals and objectives.
  • Competitive desire to grow the Best Image Optical product lines.
  • Clear, common sense thinker with critical reasoning skills. Able to obtain information, evaluate alternatives, seek advice, make recommendations, and take action.
  • Collaborative/cooperative relations with management and colleagues.
