A&A Optical x Lamy Announce Results of Holiday Giving Program

Dallas, TX and Wilton, CT, May 2014: The holiday season tends to bring out a sense of generosity in people. At the completion of a Holiday Charity Program, honoring veterans, A&A Optical and L’Amy America are excited to share the results of a true team effort and amazing hand of generosity towards America’s veterans. In total, A&A Optical and L’Amy America will donate a few thousand eyeglasses to America’s veterans and their families.

Robert Liener, A&A Optical CEO and President said: “This year was A&A’s first year to participate in the 1 for 1 Holiday Charity promotion. It was an honor to have the opportunity to give back to those who protect and serve. The collaboration with L’Amy America was a huge success with thousands of veterans benefiting from the donation.”

The charity program, Give the Gift of Sight to a Veteran in Need, launched October 1 and ran through December 31, 2013. . For each optician‐sold frame, A&A Optical and L’Amy America pledged to donate one frame to TAPS (an organization which supports families of the fallen) and Team AMVETS (an organization which supports veterans and their families). Stephen Rappoport, L’Amy America President said: “We are delighted to be able to contribute frames for worthwhile charities in support of our veterans.”

The veteran organizations are overwhelmed by the positive results of the campaign. Sharon R. Elefant, Team AMVETSTM Veterans Outreach Manager, said: “Seeing is believing. When a veteran knows someone cares, he or she is just that much more motivated to study, work, learn, and to be a productive and engaged member of society. The donation of these frames will go a long way to help these needy veterans”.

Both A&A Optical and L’Amy America are grateful to the veterans who serve and have served our country and to the committed customers who helped us achieve these amazing results
