Have eyecare stores changed? Here are some pictures of old optical storefronts from the past.. Interesting to note that many opticians and optometrists were by jewelers or watch repair.. probably because the first opticians were jewelers.

Circa 1941 Old Harlem – Frederick Douglass Boulevard and the corner of 8th Avenue when tenements with storefronts still lined that part of Harlem.
