Eye Can’t Believe It- Mustang Sally And Horse Dancing

Ok this is not optically related, but we are in the middle of horse racing season here in San Diego and this got posted on Facebook, so I just had to do this. Pretty incredible horses and trainer.

The guy in the video is Jean-François Pignon… He leads in Avignon a unique number when the horses are in total freedom. It is a real success.
Since 1993, Jean-Francois presents her show in many European countries. It is found in and near major cities (Berlin, Vienna, Zurich, Barcelona, Sevilla, Oslo, London, etc …) and four times within Equitana, the largest European horse show.
By 2003, eight horses are making up the team of this show and the complicity man horse reaches its climax.
For a year, Jean-Francois also presents the horse show music Forgiveness. With Lorenzo and Arnaud Gillette, and the participation of many riders, musicians, actors and singers playing live, this show seeks to engage the audience. With over one hundred thousand people to date, this show have big success since European tour is in the 2007 and 2008.

That Madeleine over at Optique of Denver has more energy than most people! She decorates, she hikes, she does laughing yoga in her store, now she has become Eyecare Window Dresser! She went to Michaels and decorated some frames with eyeballs, put up a red wall- placed frames in window ‘Optique of Denver….. Just SEE It! and people are coming into the store.

You too can decorate your eyewear, in fact this could be a great to re-create and rejuvenate old frames that are gathering dust. You might even consider offering customized eyewear for your most discerning patients.

Helpful Hints:

• Plan what you are going to do, you might consider sketching out your design first on paper.

• Make sure your materials are together, paint, glitters, sequins, paintbrush, glue and patterns if you have made your own patterns. Your paints are mixed if using.
• Make sure you have plenty of rags for cleanup and Q-Tips are good for small areas.
• Go to Michaels or other craft shop to find paint. Scribbles has Fabric paint that should work. Available from Amazon Scribbles Dimensional Fabric Paint 1 Ounce 6/Pkg – Crystals

Optique of Denver- Handcrafted Eyewear

Step by Step Instructions:

1. Clean and dry eyewear thoroughly, take out lenses, use gloves so no dirt or oil from your hands touches the surface.
2. Start painting or applying decor items. Make sure you don’t get glue or paint in the eyewire.
3. Let sit for 24 hours.

If you have a lot of old eyewear hanging around, have an eyewear decorating party some evening. Have your patients bring in their old frames and or offer your new frames, maybe if they do their own custom hand painted look, you might just sell your old frame, get new lenses and get new patients and have a little fun! Even if you didn’t want to do that, paint  and decorate that old eyewear and use for merchandising! Why not and it’s an eco-friendly thing to do.
