This patient needed to have her pupil opened for better visualization of the peripheral retina so that she could have adequate PRP for proliferative diabetic retinopathy. The microsphincterotomies were performed using MST Surgical’s Hoffman-Ahmed 23G microscissors through three 1mm incisions.
