I wish I could embed this video- this video sunglasses plug into your laptop, ipod. From zhenelctronics.com in Australia. This Video sunglasses have a miniature screen at the lower end of one of the len- so now you can multi-task and enjoy the scenery at the same time. Earplugs are attached to both sides of the video sunglasses.
Sports-designed sunglasses also serve as a video recorder, camera, music player and memory storage device. Built-in memory of up to 16GB caters for up to eight hours of AVI format video capture or up to 160,000 images depending on the resolution, which peaks at a less than awe-inspiring 2.0 megapixels
The Eyetop Centra is a pair of fashionable high-tech sunglasses with a built-in heads-up 16-bit colour LCD screen and integrated earplugs that lets wearers watch video content while engaged in other activities
Obviously people are purchasing wearable electronics such as video eyewear, otherwise companies would not be coming up with more and more versions. I think this is a whole new trend to look into offering in your office. It’s new, it’s different, and it’s hot.

Good question- because in all my research it look like none of our ‘traditional’ eyeglasses vendors carry these products. Why- probably they have not looked at the wearable gadget market, it is a larger investment with an unsure ROI. Most of our Frame Vendors are into price, or fashion, and they don’t know the tech market which is a huge opportunity.
Vuzix is located in Rochester NY and has quite a selection of Video Eyewear and low vision products- http://www.vuzix.com or call 585-359-5900 – most of these seem to go direct to the consumer
It seems that most of the wearable is coming out of Japan, Korea or China.
