Costa Del Mar sunglasses have been long time favorites of both my husband and myself. We both wear Costa Del Mar sunglasses on a regular basis. I am happy to announce that Costa Del Mar Sunglasses are a new sponsor. I have been angling to get them to be a sponsor for a while as I like the product so much and want to see them in more optical outlets. They know all about angling as Costa’s are the fishermen’s favorite sunglasses too! In fact, if you are a fishing fan you should check out Costa Del Mar’s Channel C and watch some of the videos. Also, I know to that Costa Del Mar is very active in coastal in inland waterway preservation which is close to my heart, living on the coast. I see a lot of trash and pollution and like to support companies that are trying to do something about this problem.
Costa Del Mar’s history starts with providing sturdy, high quality polarized sunglasses for the outdoors person. I remember talking to one of the founders of the company several years ago and he told me that back in the ’80′s they were supplying polarized sunglasses to the marine staff of some of Florida’s National Marine Sanctuaries, The Cousteau Society and Dennis Conner’s Americas Cup Crew. These are people that really relied on performance. The company has grown a lot since then and technology has improved even more.
Technology is Costa’s mantra as this is what they have concentrated on to be the demanding and uncompromising company the are today. I have taken some information directly from Costa Del Mar Sunglasses website as I know it is accurate and informative:
Demanding.Uncompromising.
COSTA 580TM Technology.
High-tech. High-performance. The ultimate lens.
COSTA 400TM Lenses.
Designed for adventure. Built to perform.
