With St. Patrick’s Day just a couple of days away I thought it would be Opti-fun to re-post a couple of our green drink optiblog grogs. I found two Optiblog Grog cocktail drinks for St. Patrick’s Day.
GREENTINI:
2 ounces 360 vodka
1.5 ounces melon liqueur
Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass
Garnish with a lime wedge
OPTICO MOJITO:
1. Lazy Version: Fill a big glass with lots of ice, add one part light rum, add 3 parts Rose’s Mojito Cocktail Mix and a splash of club soda. Add a slice of lime and a sprig of mint for garnish.
2. Purists’ Version: Take a big glass add a spoonful of sugar, a sprig or two of mint, a small splash of club soda and muddle until the sugar, the mint and soda are well mixed together. Add ice, one part light rum, one part freshly squeezed lime juice and a very generous splash of club soda. Add a slice of lime and a sprig of mint for garnish. Guzzle away, it is delicious!
Hint: Make a big jug of these when you have guests, they are a crowd pleaser and very easy to serve. Just add the ice and soda individually when you are ready to serve. We hope you like the Optical Blog Grog, please drink responsibly but have lots of Opti-fun on St. Patrick’s Day.
