I always read Steve Martini’s novels that feature Paul Madriani. Paul Madriani is an attorney that lives and works in Coronado (San Diego) so I find it fun to see references to my hometown of San Diego. Thanks to Shamir, also a local company here in San Diego, for sponsoring eyeRead today. The Rule of Nine: A Paul Madriani Novel is a sequel to Guardian of Lies in which Paul Madriani prevents a nuclear disaster (OK, that’s a little way out) but hey, I like local color.
In Rule of Nine, Paul Madriani gets targeted by assassin Liquida more for personal reasons than what he was hired for. Liquida makes a clumsy attempt to implicate Madriani in the death of Jimmie Snyder, a 23-year-old congressional gofer. Meanwhile, another terrorist (Thorn) is plotting an attack on the US.
Lots of plots and sub-plots, twists and turns which make for fun reading. I give it a thumbs up!
You can order it on Amazon or for free from your local library.
