Daring Eyewear Designer- Alexander Hi-Tek

alexander-hi-tekAmericans wear boring eyeglasses. Walking on any street in America you can pick out Europeans just by the eyewear. Old, young- doesn’t make any difference, men wear colors, women wear sporty- and they always look up to date. No men wearing eyewear that is 10 years old, with green nosepads. This is not the fault of American eyeglass suppliers- they produce what the market and average optical professional will sell and because we Americans have a free for all in frame exchanges, the financial risks are way to high to produce really cutting edge eyewear.  So this week I will be featuring some daring risk taking unique eyewear designers- the first being Alexander Hi-Tek. I don’t know what you would call this- street culture, but it is probably the most unique, high tech, cutting edge eyewear that I have seen in a long time.

  1. Dear editor, thank you for the fantastic review and comments about our designs. But I would like to add that 60% of our customers are from the US! And we get several email inquiries as to which stores in the US carry our line. So perhaps it IS up to the American eyeglass supplier to add variety and more daring designs to their collection because, YES, American customers DO like unusual eyewear equally if not more than any European customer.
