Trivex ECP Education
I am a Trivex fan and continue to hear good comments about it from our Ophthalmic Lens sponsors and ECPs but I realized that when someone would ask me “What is Trivex?” I could not readily come up with an informed answer other than the optical performance from my own point of view. (I wear both Kodak Lens and Shamir Autograph in Trivex materials.)
I recently went on the Trivex website and discovered that there is an online training guide for ECP’s, (ppgtrivex.com/education) that reviews performance benefits and then focuses on dispensing and suggests how to tailor recommendations based on the way patient lifestyles impact their eyewear expectations. I went through the video and became a little more educated, not just about optical performance but the science behind it and how it applies to different people’s eyewear expectations.
Now I can be a little more informed when I answer the question “What is Trivex?”. We welcome your comments too about different lens materials and experiences.
