If you have never been to Monterey- one of the most beautiful places in the USA, I recommend you think about going to the Monterey Symposium put on by the California Optometric Association. The conference offers over 60 hours of continuing education for optometrists, opticians, para-optometrics and other professional staff. The date-November 20-22-2009- the weather is perfect, the tourist are gone and bring the family- there is tons to do- and one of my favorites- The Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Here is the shameless plug- I’m speaking there for nine hours! Am very excited about it, because the courses are a little bit different from the run of the mill- Social Media, Eco-Toxin Free0Green Optical, Coop Advertising and a few more.
Enough about me- because in actuality the course offerings in Monterey are excellent- The COA staff and volunteers work very hard to bring the best rated speakers, with new and innovative course offerings plus fun optical events, networking opportunities, delicious food- well I could go on and on- as Monterey is one of my favorite places to go!
